Am I eligible — and what do I need?
A clear guide to who qualifies and the documents required. Exact requirements vary by university and are confirmed with your offer.
Nationality
Both you and your parents must hold foreign (non-Korean) nationality. Applicants with dual nationality are generally not eligible.
Academic background
Completed 12 years of schooling — a high-school diploma (or equivalent) for undergraduate study, or a relevant degree for master's / MBA programmes.
Language proficiency
Degree (D-2): TOPIK Level 3+ or IELTS 5.5+ for English-taught tracks. Korean language (D-4): TOPIK Level 2+ or pass the university's own test.
Financial guarantee
A bank balance certificate of roughly KRW 16–20 million (about USD 13,000), issued within 30 days; the Korean-language route (D-4) requires about KRW 8 million.
